EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said today that she supports the Palestinian unity government. She went on to make the claim that the peace process (which is actively dead) should continue. Catherine also reiterated her support for a two-state “solution.”
On Friday, April 25th, a rally to support Ukraine against Russian aggression was held at the Russian Federation consulate on Ha’yarkon 120 in Tel-Aviv. More than 100 individuals—mostly youngsters came out in support of Ukraine. They were called upon to do so at the bequest of the Facebook group Israel Supports Ukraine.

Jewish Home MK Moti Yogev mirrored what Jonathan Pollard has said throughout the latter’s imprisonment. Yogev questioned the “deteriorating values” of the Americans
So here we are again, hosting yet another Haveil Havelim. We find ourselves bowing to American pressure to release murderers with Jewish blood on their hands, unable to do much about the continuous abuse of Jewish rights on the Temple Mt., desperately pleading with the American president
It’s our duty to take this type of footage and show the people around us that the leftists are not, in fact, “peaceful” people trying to build peaceful coexistence between us and our neighbors. They’re out to destroy private property and hurt our soldiers.
One evening while studying Torah at Yeshivat Ha’mivtar in Efrat, we had a guest speaker who explained to us why the IDF is–and must remain–the most humane army in the world.
When it comes to most political issues facing Israel, I’m a staunch opponent of the ultra-Orthodox parties. But when common sense, there’s little anyone can say against their pleas against the proposed Draft Law. The proposed law is not about the Charedim giving back to Israeli society. It’s about Yair Lapid’s and the Left’s complete lack of understanding of Jewish values and the Charedi way of life.
As an Israeli Jew, it hurts me to think that there are people out there who want to “boycott” my country. It hurts because I know that my country treats all its citizens; be they Jews or Arabs, Muslims or Christians, heterosexuals, or gays as equals.
You may have heard that the Knesset will be debating the issue of Jewish sovereignty on the Temple Mount this Tuesday. I’ll be going. I don’t really like the term “Jewish Sovereignty” because it’s an Orwellian term. It really means that the agents of the State of Israel will control what goes on at the Temple Mount, instead of what the situation is now, which is that the Jordanian state decides it.
The day that the protesters on Maidan were waiting for has taken place in Ukraine. On Saturday, February 22nd, the Verkhovna Rada decided that the president left his post and scheduled new elections for May 25th. Yanukovych called this a coup. Yulia Tymoshenko was freed and arrived in Kiev.

I want to organize a fund to collect money for rebuilding Jewish property that has been either destroyed by the IDF or damaged/stolen/destroyed by Arabs. If anyone has any ideas on how to do this, please contact me. Thank you and may we merit to see new Jewish homes built everywhere in our beloved homeland!
I met Liron when she posted an great video about Jerusalem on a Facebook page. Contacting her and asking for an interview felt like the only thing to do. Here’s a young lady who devotes so much of her time and energy to the Land of Israel and the Jewish people.
“Some people believe exactly what I believe, but they like to wear ties. They know their ties neatly around their necks, cutting the brain off from the flow of blood, and this solves the problem. The mind to one side, life to the other. I, you know, don’t like ties. I don’t like dividers. Understand me. My beliefs are nurtured not only from external well springs, but also from my veins, and in my veins flows blood” -Israel Eldad
Frank Melloul has done the impossible. He has managed to launch an international 24-hour news station, broadcasting in three languages – Arabic, English, and French – and all within a few weeks of his immigration to Israel! This incredible feat has been achieved at lightening speed, when Israel’s supporters, both inside and outside the country, have been clamoring for years for just such a broadcasting operation.
Here’s a Zionist song I recorded some time ago. In it, I describe my feelings about the rift between the Left and the Right in Israel. Enjoy!
The head of Yisrael Beitenu, FM Avigdor Liberamn harshly criticized “AKUM” for capitulating to the Left and canceling its prize for lifetime achievement to Ariel Zilber, known for his right wing views. The Foreign Minister referred to this as a capitulation before the bolshevism of agencies with far left ideology.
“People some times ask me – rabbi, doesn’t it make you a little uncomfortable traveling around the world asking people for money? I tell them – no, not in the least! I know that these schools are our future and that the work they do is wholly, aimed at bettering the Jewish people and the world entire”.
And now, for the moment y’all were so eagerly anticipating…this week’s Havel Haveilim posts (none of which consequently, covered Macabbi–or the wonderful world of b-ball):
A religious Jew, who takes part in religious services on Brodsky St. was the central figure of the storming of “Ukraine House” on Europe Square in Kiev. Along with radical Ukrainian nationalists from the “Right Section” he stormed this key complex, and then led negotiations to allow 200 policemen to withdraw from the building.

If Israelis and Palestinians are unable even to talk about peace, what would happen if and when Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas signs a peace deal with Israel? Might he, too, find himself being escorted out of Ramallah under police protection for daring to talk peace with Israel?
In a Knesset session in which PM Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed Canadian PM Stephen Harper to Israel and expressed his desire for more cooperation between the two countries, MK Ahmad Tibi (Ballad) couldn’t bear watch a world leader support our country and all it stands for. He interrupted the Prime Minister’s speech. Netanyahu answered Tibi (although he usually tries to stay out of spats with Tibi’s type) and answered him calmly and constructively. The following is the contents of the exchange that took place:
New criminal attack in the Ukrainian capital: a religious Jew was attacked by a group of anonymous individuals who hit him several times with a knife.
